So why should you do your Pass Plus if you’ve recently passed your driving test in Lincolnshire? Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years after passing their test, due to lack of driving experience. Pass Plus builds on your skills and knowledge. It will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, to help you become a more confident driver.
What aspects of driving are covered in the Pass Plus scheme? Pass Plus consists
of six modules which cover driving in different conditions:-
Will you have to take another test? In a word NO, I will complete a training report form that you will sign and date once you have achieved the required standard in each module. Once completed you will then send the training report form to the DSA, who in turn will send you your Pass Plus certificate.
How much does it cost to do the Pass Plus with The Driving School? The price for taking Pass Plus with The Driving School is £120, as the scheme takes six hours to complete. I would usually try to complete the training in one day.
Will you get cheaper car insurance? The main reason to complete the Pass Plus training should be that you want to become a better driver, by being able to anticipate, plan for, and deal with all kinds of hazards. However, because of this you will also be able to get a discount from certain insurance companies. Pass Plus can also be used as an excellent stepping stone to taking an Advanced Driving Test, which will make you a better driver still, and bring down your insurance premium further. Look at The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), or The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for more information.
